THINGS THAT SELDOM HAPPEN IN CHURCH.

One time we had a woman in our local church whose car windscreen suddenly broken.

She called crying.

It was after a Sunday service and Pastor was barely at the gate of his house, he had to turn back, hop on the next available bike and headed straight to her house.

Before the incident, the woman used to be fervent but started to backslide because of reasons best known to her.

My Pastor called me and said to meet him there. As she wailed, the pastor tried to console her but she kept repeating it would cost 300k to fix it.

"Why do God's people suffer?", she blurted.

"I pay my tithe and offerings yet my windscreen broke". She lamented further.

YOU CANNOT HOLD GOD TO RANSOME,

YOU WANT TO DO TRADE-BY-BARTER WITH YOUR MAKER?

YOU WANT TO BE CUNNY AROUND GOD?

MY FRIEND, GOD IS NOT SOMEONE YOU CAN PLAY GAMES WITH.

Her words caused something in me to die that day, it was at the peak of Pastor E.A Adeboye son's death.

This Great man of God who is constantly in the public eyes and a center of numerous backlashes has just lost his son but he mounted the altar, swallowed his sorrow and told God's people "IT IS OKAY". You on the other hand lost your windscreen, materials things that can be replaced, yet you curse God to His face.

I began to imagine the pain Pastor Adeboye must have felt and the courage it took him to submit to the will of God in the face of his son's demise.

This woman later left the church but it was on a different account, she exhibited pride and disrespect towards the Pastor by talking and walking out rudely during a general meeting in church, right in the presence of everyone. Yes, the same Pastor who hopped on the next available bike to her house when her car windscreen broke.

Hmm..

Guess what? She appeared two years later, after she lost her businesses, just when the Pastor and his family were about to be transferred to another assembly and sought for forgiveness.

I PRAY FOR YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS, YOU WILL NOT LEARN THE HARD WAY.

As a leader in church, understand that many believers are frail, forget the bold face they put up, their hearts are chickened, little wonder Jesus calls us sheep. John 10.

A sheep is a dumb and defenseless animal and it security depends on the protection of it shepherd.

As a good shepherd over a church,  your members may sometimes exhibit unruly behaviors but always bear in mind. they are not perfect. Jesus didn't die for a perfect church, infact, he came for the lost souls. Don't expect angelic behavior from them, give them time to grow and continue praying for them.

If you are reading this and you've ever disrespected any man of God, go and apologize, they are not perfect either but God didn't make them a leader by mistake.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK YOU ARE.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU SAY YOU ARE.

Every human being has an energy, the energy you release into the world is the same energy that comes for you. If you release energy of fear, fear will become your reality.

That is why the bible says, AS A MAN THINKETH IN HIS HEART, SO IS HE.

Job said, "What I greatly fear has come upon me".. Job 3:25

There are days when fear will come, finance, situations, uncertainty will come, your only defense is the word of God and the things that has been revealed by His word.

Scripture like "DO NOT FEAR", DO NOT BE TROUBLED,  is a call to protection because there will be circumstances that challenges your faith and your only defence is the word of God.

Jesus will help you overcome your fears, but that is only when you surrender to Him.

Let Jesus help you today.

Write, I SURRENDER now.

THE MYSTERIES OF MARRIAGE

THE MYSTERY OF MARRIAGE.

Psalm 68:8

"God setteth the solitary in families."

God desires that you are gloriously married and stay married. You started well-- your marriage was the envy of all eyes but along the way, you became careless with your character, pride seized you, unyielded to give up old nature, prayer life and word study life declined, and satan possessed your marriage.

Satan's mission--- To steal, kill and destroy succeeded in your home, and now, you have become bitter against God and the institution of marriage which God himself is the author.

God designed marriage for many things--- procreation, pleasure, beauty, satisfaction, companionship and more, but chief among these is that your marriage advances God's kingdom and depopulate the kingdom of darkness.

Many people who had been scared of marriage because of past experiences of others including their parents would have been convinced that God intended for them stay gloriously married, has been shattered because your marriage only pushed them off the more and solidify their negative convictions.

God desires that through your marriage, many will repent from unholy cravings that they have use to substitute God's knowledge of pleasure embedded in marriage, knowing that marriage is worth the wait, but your result further fuelled it.

Marriage is a ministry.

God designed it to make positive impactful changes. He desire that many will glorified Him, give up sexual perversions, desire to know Him, build characters like resilience and perseverance as a result of your own reality in marriage. God desires that many people from broken homes can pick hope from your marriage, that your children may follow suit, good and godly standard of what a beautiful union should be like, but you have failed to glorify God through your marriage thereby plundering many to darkness and destruction, successfully destroyed God's agenda with your choice.

Although, your marriage has disappointed God, it is never too late. Today, I challenge you to rise and take back your glorious destiny in marriage, In the name of Jesus Christ.

Join me today Wednesday, 4:00pm (Nigeria time) for the first part of the Let Us Pray exercise: RESTORATION OF DAMAGED AND LONG LOST MARRIAGE.

Your marriage must be restored to it former glory,  Amen.

COMMONLY MISINTERPRETED SCRIPTURES

HEB 4:12

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any TWO-EDGES WORD, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

A lot of believers would often think this scripture talks about an actual sword but in reality, the sword the bible is referring to here: Is the Bible Itself. A sword usually would have the sharp and the blunt sides so most believers would think it is clearly referring to a regular sword but it is not.

Many believers who has probably read this scriptures all their lives would usually think that basically, since a sword has both blunt and sharp edges, the two-edged is that. However, the scripture likens the word of God here, Two-edges as MULTIPURPOSE, that is, can be used for many things. So the concept of two-edges that Apostle Paul speaks of here is not contextually a two edged sword but that is reliable for many situations.

That it is why it is further clarified in 2 Tim 3:16, that,

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness".

It is important to let the Holy spirit open our eyes to the scriptures rather than read letter for letter or plainly. Only then can it profit us.

I hope you've learn something profound today.

WHAT DOES GOD SAYS ABOUT MY HEALTH?

Sometimes, If God doesn't heal us, He cures us.

Rev 22:2

"The herbs were for the healing of the nation."

It is you being responsible for your health by visiting the hospital when sick for a long time after prayers for divine healing fails.

You must partner with God for His covenant of long life over your life by accessing a hospital. It is not a sin. God wants you to live long but you must take responsibility for your health.

Stop "FAITHing" Ignorance.

THE APOLOGY THAT NEVER HAPPENED

2016, I was traveling from Akure to Ila orangun. I had secured the back seat in the 18 seater bus and it was quite comfortable.. My mind was blank and I only stared emptily before two other passengers came to join in.

It was me going back to PPA seven days after my mum's burial.

Hawkers dugged their heads through the windshield uninvited with unfitting trays beckoning the passengers to patronize them, but I only had my face the other way and supported my jaw with my hands, lost in thought.

Soon we were moving. The reviving engine jotted me back to reality. Dry air escaped into the vehicle and went out the openings with a whistling hum. The trees ran past us as we hastened pass the forests. In that instant, I remembered home with a silent grief. "Goodbye forever Mum", my heart sank beneath my breathe as I swallowed my tears together with the saliva in my throat.

We were barely twenty minutes into the journey when the weather suddenly changed. The burning bright sun vanished into a thick dark cloud that trembled the yellow vegetations and humbled the greens. I knew immediately that it was going to rain cats and dogs- figuratively so.

A ferocious unnerving wind began to blow and the driver, irritated by the sudden change yelled continously in his native dialect cursing the rain of it uninvited visit.

He gripped the rickety steering wheel as he manoeuvred agressively past the other vehicles in a forge of swift.. however, while we all were screaming at the top of our voices, cautioning him to take it slow, his main concern was that he desperately needed to arrive at Ila-orangun so that he could return for another trip.

"Money must be made" he persisted.

A huge downpour started to fall but only to deluge down my head from the rear because the faulty boot wouldn't close properly as a result of the over-occupying luggage.

The dented roof released good percentage of the water in my direction that funnelled directly onto my head like a corked bottle of champagne filling a tumbler. My ears went temporarily deaf from the impact of its force, I tried to endure but when I couldn't take it no more I started to yell for help.

Few passengers understood my plight and mumbled a few sympathy but it didn't solve the problem. The driver was not helping matter as he kept asking me to stay quiet so he can concentrate. It was an unforgettable experience- little wonder I'm putting in a post.

After another twenty grueling minutes, we finally reached our destination, I meander slowly as I alighted, the rain hadn't stopped but had drastically reduced.

I approached the driver and spoke calmly "I think you need to compensate me for the discomfort", I reinforced painfully, drenched from head to toes while clenching to my bag which contained my documents-I was a corp member.

It was the least he could do. I wasn't expecting a refund but I was expecting a heartfelt apology, instead he unleashed a barrage of insults on me. I stood there completely mortified. Embarrased.

When he was done, he jump in his bus, made a U-turn, made a mocking face at me and sped off. I hadn't seen such insolence in a long time!

God knows I purposely didn't dignify him with words because I wasn't expecting the outcome-besides, I was too shocked to speak.

That was how this man made away with the apology he should have tendered me.

Looking back now, I feel cheated.
