Reva's column

I called my MIL to ask how they are enjoying the holidays with my daughter over there.

She started to laugh that they fight often but make peace on time too. She also said my 6 years old would threaten her to return to us if she wasn't appreciated for her help.

My MIL sells provision and my daughter is a very helpful child with the mind of an adult.

We laughed over the conversation and said goodbye but I couldn't help but realize that my daughter is exactly portraying me over there.

I would insist my husband appreciate me whenever I bore the family burden.

I'm glad she understands the concept and importance of appreciation, putting value on herself, request to be treated nicely and voice out if she feels undervalued or underappreciated.
